Jonathan Martin – Chief Executive

Jonathan has worked for YMCA since 1991 in a number of roles throughout the organisation. As CEO he’s responsible for the overall operational work of the organisation, plus leads on the strategic direction and focus. He also works closely with the Board of Trustees to shape YMCA’s future. Although based at Queen Anne House in Cambridge, Jonathan is a frequent visitor to all our sites. He is passionate about working with and for young people.

Rowena Kerslake – Deputy Chief Executive

Rowena has worked for Essex and Suffolk YMCA since 1998. Most recently having held the role of CEO at YMCA Suffolk, until YMCA Trinity Group was formed. Rowena shares the responsibility for strategic direction and focus for YMCA Trinity with the CEO and takes responsibility for Organisational Quality and Development, Human Resources and Project work. “YMCA is a brilliant organisation, which works across the world for the benefit of young people; my drive and passion for children and young peoples’ development means that working at YMCA has been a constant pleasure.”

Amanda Butterworth – Accommodation Director 

Amanda joined YMCA Trinity Group in 2018 and is a member of the Executive Team.  She has over 20 years’ experience in the housing and homelessness sector working in London and the East Midlands. Amanda has a Chartered Institute of Housing post graduate qualification in housing and has a wide range of experience in delivering general needs and specialist homelessness services. Amanda is passionate about working in partnership to deliver high quality accommodation projects that encourage people to reach for their goals.

Vicky Cairney – Programme Director 

Vicky Cairney began her YMCA journey in 1993 as a nursery practitioner in Essex and has a strong background in working with children and young people and their families. Her role as Programme Director gives her responsibility for setting up and delivering a number of programmes including childcare, mental health, youth, holiday and employment programmes, finding innovative and creative ways to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and their families. Vicky is committed and passionate about the work that she does and continually strives to deliver the highest quality service to the children, young people and their families that she works with.
