Self help – what can I do right now?

There are some great things you can do for yourself to help reduce mental health issues, anxiety, stress etc. Here are just a few organisations that offer advice that can really make a difference:

If you’re feeling stressed, anxious or depressed, or just want to feel happier, the NHS can help. You can take a mood self-assessment test or even listen to audio guides on how to deal with low mood or anxiety problems.

Visit the Mood Gym website for more information about Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems. To access face to face CBT you can do this via asking your GP.
