Monthly Baby Sensory Session

Our Parent and Child Provision have recently started holding a monthly sensory play session as requested by our residents and this month saw us hold our first session! This was a massive success and 6 of our residents and their babies attended and all thoroughly enjoyed the session.

We spent time exploring our 4 different sensory baskets with lots of soft, metal, natural and wooden items which the children loved getting their hands on! We also had fun playing with a mixture of different sensory balls, bottle shakers, light tube and table and our bubble machine. For our newest 3 weeks old resident we also had some soft baby toys out along with a range of black and white pictures to help build eye sight development and also introduced some of our softer sensory items by stroking with feathers.

All of our young people and their children had a great time in this session and look forward to continuing with this over the coming months!
