Young people create Christmas wreaths during reparations hours
With the festive season upon us, young people have been completing their reparation hours by making Christmas wreaths. Our reparations team have been working hard to try and make them aware of the importance of recycling, especially since the recent UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26). This is why all of the Christmas wreaths are recyclable and are made from willow, foliage from Westraven Gardens and recyclable bows. The young people have enjoyed making the wreaths.
The reparations team are holding a Christmas Bazaar stall at Westraven Community Cafe on Saturday 11 December where the young people will be selling the Christmas wreaths they have made as well as some other festive decorations. All money raised will be put back into the Westraven Community Gardens.
We enjoy working with Westraven and by helping to raise money, we can continue to buy seeds, tools and wood to allow projects to continue.
