YMCA Trinity Group receives CHAS Health & Safety Accreditation
We have successfully achieved CHAS accreditation at YMCA Trinity Group.
CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) is a type of accreditation that proves a business’s health and safety processes meet excellent standards. This accreditation is now a requirement of affiliation to YMCA England & Wales. Qualified health and safety professionals carry out CHAS assessments of a business’s documentation to confirm they’re fulfilling everything required by law.
This is great for us and it will reassure staff and volunteers that our health and safety management is of an “excellent standard”. The accreditation will also help us to bid successfully for contracts in the future as our clients can see our standards are maintained to the highest levels.
Jack Muir, Health & Safety Manager, says; “We had to complete a very thorough assessment and, as well as answering many questions about H&S management across the group, we uploaded over 140 documents in support of our bid.
I would like to give a big thanks to Gail Pollard for assisting with the process and give a mention to Lucy Watling and Neil Portor for providing information on staff training and insurance policies, respectively.”
