Residents enjoy Diversity Day in Ipswich
Yesterday (Wednesday 25 August), our UASC team and ISCRE (the Ipswich and Suffolk Council for Racial Equality) held a Diversity Day at Wellington Street in Ipswich.
During the day, there was a BBQ for all of the young people on site and staff from Suffolk County Council as well as lots of games and fun activities, including face painting, henna, garden games, photo booth and canvas art painting.
There was also a COVID vaccination bus with NHS staff who administered the vaccine to both our residents and young people from the community that are supported by the council. This resulted in 52 young people having their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine which was a great result. The COVID vaccine bus is due to return on the 29 September to administer the second dose.
The whole day was a fantastic success!
