New Mental Health Awareness for Managers Course
Even in the most uncertain of times, the role of a manager remains the same: to support your team members. That includes supporting their mental health. The good news is that many of the tools you need to do so are the same ones that make you an effective manager.
Supporting employees mental health is crucial more now than ever before. Research conducted prior to the pandemic highlighted that developing mentally healthy workplaces benefits both the organisation and employees by reducing staff sickness, improving job satisfaction and job retention. Are you interested in finding out how to develop confidence in your staff and create an inclusive mentally healthy work culture? Then perhaps this workshop is right for you.
What is the workshop?
This 3-hour workshop gives managers the knowledge and skills to meet both HSE and NICE standards for identifying and addressing risks to mental health in the workplace. It will help managers to confidently develop mental health awareness, reduce stigma and discrimination, fostering productive and supportive working cultures and teams.
Delegates will also learn how to recognise risks to mental health and how to supportively address them for themselves and with staff. The course explores practical strategies and can be tailored to particular settings. It will give managers tools and resources that can be used to promote self-care, and facilitate supportive conversations about mutually agreed strategies and signposting.
