Mothers’ Union donate new toys for our sensory play session
On 13 February, we held our monthly sensory play session in the parent and child provision. This session was extra special as we have recently received a donation of some new sensory items for the provision so our mums and babies had some new things to explore.
The donated items we received included:
- black and white sensory balls
- light up cubes
- an infinity mirror
- glitter storm tubes
- finger lights
- glow in the dark worms and balls
- other various light up equipment
We set all the items out in our parent and child room for the babies to explore and made sure the room was all dark to take advantage of the new light up items.
We had great fun in this session and the babies very much enjoyed playing and exploring with the new items. They had a lot of fun stacking the light up blocks, rolling the glitter tubes, squishing the balls and exploring the new lights. They also found the infinity mirror very fascinating and spent a lot of time trying to work this out!
We would like to say a massive thank you to the Mothers’ Union Ipswich Area for this very generous donation to the parent and child provision & we are sure to get a lot of use out of this equipment and look forward to a lot more sensory sessions in the future!
The Mother’s Union do a lot of fantastic work with fundraising and helping in the community.
