LIFE Festival Ipswich
The LIFE festival took place at YMCA Ipswich on Friday 19th August.
It was set up primarily for the UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) that we house and put together to promote the diversity we have here and to celebrate many of the cultures that we house here in Ipswich.
Both of the other provisions (CYPS and HRS) assisted with the setup of the event, promotion and assisting their young people to come along on the day.
Many external agencies attended with stalls to promote their work and with who we regularly work in partnership with.
The Mayor of Ipswich, John Cook, came along and joined in the fun and the event also had a BBQ, DJ, games and a bouncy castle.
It was a real celebration of the diversity within the Ipswich accommodation and was a great way to introduce young people to the support available as well as integrating them all together.
