Join Our Team – Recruitment Day at Queen Anne House

On Wednesday 25 August, we are holding a recruitment day at Queen Anne House in Cambridge (CB1 1ND) between 11am and 2pm. If you are searching for a new challenge or change in career, we might have the perfect role for you!

We are looking for some fantastic individuals to fill vacancies within our childcare and accommodation teams. Both provisions centre around a fast paced environment with no two days the same! By being part of the YMCA Trinity Group family, you receive a competitive rate of pay as well as internal progression and training opportunities.

Blinco Grove – Childcare

Blinco Grove opened at the start of 2020 and is situated near Addenbrookes Hospital in the heart of the City. The provision caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years and has the capacity to cater for up to 73 children at one time. Despite the global pandemic, Blinco Grove has thrived into a popular and flourishing childcare setting which has led to a growing waiting list. Thus, we are looking to add to our team by recruiting for a Deputy Room Leader and various Early Years Educator roles.

All of our roles require imagination, enthusiasm, great team work and communication skills. Individuals also need to be flexible, fun and approachable as well as being able to demonstrate knowledge of the standards required by Ofsted.

“I love the sense of feeling like one big family, I couldn’t imagine wanting to work anywhere else”. Leah

Queen Anne House – Accommodation

At Queen Anne House, we offer supported accommodation for 16 – 25 year olds.

Our philosophy of supporting young people means that we provide not only a bed, but we also help a young person transition from dependence into independence by giving support, training, life skills and building resilience in order to lead to independent living. With your support and guidance, you can help change the lives and futures of our residents for the better which is a rewarding aspect of working in our accommodation team. We currently have vacancies for a senior receptionist, part time receptionist, assistant project workers and relief staff.

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Great teamwork skills
  • Good listening and communication skills as well being able to show empathy
  • The ability to work within a reactive environment

I chose to work for YMCA because I enjoy being part of an organisation which has a positive impact on the community, especially on young people’s lives. Queen Ann House provides a dynamic, diverse and friendly environment where I feel valued and respected. My job position as an accommodation administrator is engaging and rewarding. Every day is different and provides a new challenge. I love being part of the hardworking and dedicated team, where everybody is helping our young residents to accomplish their life goals.Mihaela
