Ipswich residents enjoy Christmas Day meal thanks to kind donations
On Christmas Day, our residents in Ipswich were treated to a lovely Christmas lunch then a buffet in the evening.
A big part of this was due to the kind donations made by local supermarkets. Staff at Sainsbury’s on Hadleigh Road in Ipswich donated £250.00 worth of food, Asda (Stoke Park in Ipswich) donated buffet food and Tesco (Martlesham, Ipswich) donated vegetables for the Chirstmas Day meal. There was also our annual Christmas donation from B.E.F.A, who are the Buckingham emergency food appeal, who provided us with a turkey, vegetables, Christmas puddings, tinned products and meat to make pigs in blankets and so much more.
Also a shoutout to the lovely customers at Sainsbury’s for donating items to our box in the store throughout the year. Additionally, the food couldn’t have been prepared and enjoyed by our residents without the hard work from both Lorraine and Megan.
The residents were truly grateful and with the help and support from the local community, it made their Christmas more special in what had been a difficult year.
