Self-Harm and Suicide Awareness

The self-harm workshop is suitable for any adults in regular contact with young people and children, adding to the foundation knowledge required for a whole setting approach to mental health. Recent years have seen a significant increase in the number of children and young adults who are self-harming. Rates in the East of England are higher than the national average and there is an increase in hospital admissions resulting from acts of self harm.  This workshop addresses some of the myths around self-harm and is based on the latest research to increase your confidence in working with young people in your setting.
