About Us
Blinco Grove in Cambridge is the newest of 6 Childcare Settings operated by YMCA Trinity Group, recently attaining a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating.
Our provision opened at the start of 2020 is close to the heart of the City of Cambridge, just around the corner from Addenbrookes and caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We operate 51 weeks a year from 7.30am to 6pm.
Despite the Global pandemic, Blinco Grove has thrived into a popular and flourishing childcare setting. This has led to a growing waiting list and increasing number of job opportunities to join our friendly, fun and welcoming childcare team.

Job Role
Blinco Grove has a waiting list of children eager to join, and we’re looking for a dynamic, passionate, committed individual to join our dedicated team as a Room Leader within our pre-school room.
The role will involve supporting the Childcare Management in being responsible for the day to day running and administration for the room and ensuring high quality inclusive childcare is continually provided. The successful candidate will be skilled, imaginative, have vision, drive and the ability to motivate. They will be flexible, approachable and able to demonstrate professional leadership as well as being able to demonstrate outstanding knowledge of the standards required by Ofsted.

Skills and Experience
If you can answer yes to the following questions, then you may be the person we have been searching for….
- Can you sing out of tune?
- Can you tell the story of “We are going on a Bear hunt” without the book?
- Are you happy to jump in muddy puddles, and to sing in the rain?
- Do you like to get messy?
- Can you sit on small chairs and pretend to eat plastic food?
The successful candidate must hold a full and relevant level 3 early years qualification , with extensive working knowledge of the EYFS. The ability to lead a team and work alongside other practitioners – sharing ideas, role modelling and supporting their professional development is a must. A genuine respect for our children and families, offering support and guidance in their Early Years, is essential for this role.

Days and hours
This role is for 40 hours per week to be worked over 4 days.
Part Time / Job Share options will be considered – get in touch if you would like to discuss. The setting operates Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6.30pm-Contracted hours are scheduled on a rota basis between these hours
Salary and benefits
In return we offering a salary of £22,172 per annum. (Pro rata for part time hours)
