We are recruiting for a Part Time – Assistant Accommodation Project Worker on a Permanent Contract, to join our team at Batt House in Bury St Edmunds.
Job Role
Our Assistant Accommodation Project Workers assist in the running of the residential areas, ensuring a high level of working practice. Their role is to create a warm, caring, homely and secure environment where the development of young people can occur.
The role will include planning and organising activities, key-working individuals, as well as engaging with all of the young people who live within the projects and supporting them to develop socially, personally and spiritually in order that they may grow in confidence and independence.
You will be required to ensure that all residents receive an appropriate level of support and training according to their individual needs; and will assist residents to access education, employment, training and voluntary work experience.
Experience working with a similar client group and an understanding of the needs and challenges these young people face is essential. Experience delivering group work sessions is desirable, though a full induction and training would be given.

Days and hours
This is a permanent contract for 8 hours every 2 weeks, Sunday working 7.45-3.45 with the occasional additional opportunity to cover holidays and sickness.
Salary and Benefits
In return, we are offering a salary of £2,061 per year.
