We are recruiting Relief Accommodation Project Workers to join our growing team at Time Stop in Peterborough.
A rewarding role; working with, and supporting young people as they progress on their journey through YMCA.

Job Role
To assist residents with developing basic life skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning and ironing as per their support plan to enable them to maintain their own accommodation after resettlement.
To interact with residents to encourage an appropriate standard of behaviour and ensure that an appropriate living environment is maintained.
In conjunction with a Project Worker, interview and assess prospective residents on arrival at the project and complete all associated administration.
Various relief shifts are available, evenings, weekends and nights (on and an as and when required basis). Many of our relief workers progress in their careers, applying for Full and Part Time contracted roles when opportunities arise.
Skills and Experience
In summary, successful applicants will have the following qualities:
- Great interpersonal skills, delivering good face to face customer care
- A good understanding of confidentiality
- Ability to interact with young people in a positive and confident manner, in a non-judgemental and non-discriminative way
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Ability to write reports, keep case notes, client records and maintain excellent liaison with other agencies
- Ability to work within a reactive environment, flexibly and under pressure.
