Job role
Accommodation Project Workers support our residents to ensure they have the basic life skills to enable them to develop the necessary skills to support a successful resettlement.
Working as part of the UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) team you will provide practical support to vulnerable unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and adults. Supporting them to maintain their tenancies/licences, participate in meaningful activities such as education, training or employment and resettle to appropriate accommodation in the community leading to independence. You will have a caseload of young people to support and provide quality structured Support.
The job role requires you to encourage an appropriate standard of behaviour in order to support a warm, clean and homely environment.
Successful candidates should have the following qualities:
- Ability to interact with young people in a positive and confident manner
- Able to assist with basic life skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately, face to face or on the telephone, with people from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to create a warm, caring, secure and homely environment and able to show empathy.
- Be flexible for the needs of the young people we support.
- To be able to do shift work.
- Hold a clean driving licence.
*Please note that your own car with business insurance is an essential requirement for this role.

Days and hours
Contracted hours are worked on a 3 week rolling rota as follows;
- Week 1 8am-4:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)
- Week 2 8:30am-5pm (30-minute unpaid break)
- Week 3 3:30pm to midnight (30-minute unpaid break)
You will need to take part in the on-call system. Occasional weekends may be required
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £23,587 per year, additional benefits we offer include:
