CYPS residents meet “Brainy Dogs”

On Thursday 13 May, CYPS started working with the amazing Brainy Dogs from Mencap.

This is an amazing opportunity for the residents and so many were up and waiting for the dog’s arrival.

The residents spent over an hour with Hope the Brainy dog who was showing off her best tricks, even allowing the young people to get involved with teaching the dog commands.

Each week, the Brainy Dogs will be coming to CYPS and the residents will have the opportunity to train the new dogs, either in a group session or on a 1-2-1 basis for residents that struggle in group settings.

All residents were in high spirits throughout and after the session.

They are all extremely excited to see Hope and the other dogs next week.
