YMCA Trinity Group is set to launch a new preschool in the grounds of Grundisburgh Primary School. Parents are invited to visit the new facility for a Stay and Play session on Tuesday 24 October.

Following the Ofsted registration inspection which is due in the next few weeks, the preschool will accommodate up to 24 children aged 2-5 years old. Children eligible can receive 15 hours of free childcare whilst most parents in work can claim up to 30 hours of free childcare a week as part of the revised government scheme. The preschool will have spaces available for both funded and fee-paying children.

Speaking of the new YMCA Childcare provision, Amanda Spence at YMCA Trinity Group, said: “We are so excited about our new preschool in Grundisburgh. We have worked hard to create a safe, welcoming environment which will nurture and stimulate the children.

“Whether the children are with us full time or if they just attend a couple of sessions a week we will focus on helping them grow in confidence and to embrace various learning opportunities as they start to prepare for the move to primary school. YMCA Childcare aims to provide children with the best start to their education.

“The Stay and Play session will give parents and children the chance to look around the new preschool as well as talk to the staff and take part in some fun activities.”

Once open the preschool will be operate 8am-3pm each weekday with a variety of sessions giving parents flexibility and choice when it comes to arranging childcare. YMCA Trinity Group already runs two popular childcare facilities in Lowestoft.

Amanda continues: “Both our St Margaret’s and Water Lane facilities in Lowestoft have been established for a number of years and continue to grow in popularity with parents. We expect the new facility in Grundisburgh to prove just as popular so parents wishing to register their interest should get in touch to secure their place.”

The preschool will follow the Early Years foundation stage curriculum with parents being kept up to date via digital learning journeys allowing them to login to view regularly updated reports and photographs of their child.

The Stay and Play session will run 9am-3pm on Tuesday 24 October with parents invited to simply drop in for a tour or to chat through the available funding and fee-paying options, or just to enjoy some play time with their child.

To register interest in the preschool parents should speak to staff members during the Stay and Play session or contact Vicky Cairney, Director of Business Development directly on 01473 252456.
